Jetter Cyrus Bruce, Jr.

Mr. Jetter Cyrus Bruce, Jr. of Winston-Salem died Wednesday June 24, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Bruce was born July 24, 1926 in Forsyth County a son of the late Jetter Bruce, Sr. and the late Myrtle Kelly Bruce. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII on the USS Portsmouth. He retired from AT&T with 35 years of service and was a member of Bethabara Moravian Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Dotson Bruce, daughters, Lesa West and husband George, Cynthia Farrington and husband Richard, grandchildren, David West and wife Ashley, Ashley Farrington, and Katherine Farrington, great-granddaughter, Olivia West. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev Tripp May officiating. Military Rites will be provided by VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethabara Moravian Church 2100 Bethabara Rd. Winston-Salem, NC.
