Jessie Shoemaker Lattimore

Mrs. Jessie Shoemaker Lattimore, 80, of Clemmons died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born April 10, 1928 in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late Jess Oliver and Carrie Sherrill Sims. Mrs. Lattimore was a member of Westside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude A. Shoemaker and her second husband, Dr. William A. Lattimore. Survivors include three loving sons, Gene Shoemaker and wife, Pattie of Clemmons, Randy Shoemaker and wife, Wanda of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mike Shoemaker and wife, Linda of Winston-Salem; two grandsons, Gary Shoemaker and wife, Molly of Winston-Salem and Matthew Lewis of Ft. Myers, FL; two great grandsons, Blake Eugene Shoemaker and Brady Dallas Shoemaker of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Robert Sims and wife, Doris of Cornelius and Don Sims and wife, Dixie of Charlotte; three grandchildren by marriage, Chasity Hayes, Earon Johnson and Doyle Johnson and one great grandchild by marriage, Whitley Hogue. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Craig S. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
