Jesse Noel King

Mr. Jesse Noel King, 94, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Reynolda Park Assisted Living. He was born October 4, 1919 in Stokes County to Roy Alford King and Delphia Beasley King. Mr. King served in the U.S. Army during WWII and earned a Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bernice Hunter King and second wife, Olive Boles King. Surviving are two sons, Don King and wife Jane of Fuqua-Varina, Ron King and wife Brenda of Pilot Mountain; three grandchildren, Jeff King and wife Norma, Kevin King and wife Emily, Bryan King and wife Heather; five great-grandchildren, Peyton King, Mary-Paige King, Averie King, Mason King, and Dylan King; one brother, Billy King; three sisters, Margaret Newsome, Myra Hicks, and Peggy Moorefield. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Crestview Memorial Park with Dr. Bud Owen officiating and with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 290 Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
