Mr. Jesse ""Leon"" Duncan, age 84 passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Leon was born in Forsyth County, March 24, 1932 to Beedler James Duncan and Ruby Mae Eagleson Duncan. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 33 years of service. Leon loved to fish and spend time at his place at Emerald Isle. In addition to his parents Leon was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Lou Duncan and five brothers: Fred, Dewey, Jimmy, Larry and Tommy Duncan.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shelby Ann Steele Duncan. Three brothers; Donald (Janet) Duncan, Jackie (Hilda) Duncan and Terry (Betty) Duncan. Several nieces and nephews. His special feline companion, Midnight. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Fred Moretz. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Tuesday evening February 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
