Jesse Lehman Doss

Mr. Jesse Lehman Doss, age 90 of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Doss was born in Forsyth County, October 30, 1926 to Edward Doss and Ethel Kiser Doss. He was one of the founding members of Northside Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Mr. Doss retired from AT&T Telephone Company with 30 plus years of services and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. In addition to his parents Mr. Doss was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Doss. Mr. Doss is survived by his wife of 66 years of marriage, Betty Clayton Doss. One daughter, Karen (Tim) Davis of Winston-Salem and one son, Kevin (Lori) Doss of Winston-Salem. Five grandchildren; Daniel, Ashleigh, Jessica, Clay and Lauren. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Doss will be conducted Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Darrell Fulp and Rev. Larry Easler. Burial will follow at North Side Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
