Jerry "Ronnie" Hester

Mr. Jerry Ronald “Ronnie” Hester, 68, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was born December 7, 1952, in Forsyth County to Mrs. June Hester and the late James “Bud” Hester. Ronnie loved a good joke or funny story and liked to make people laugh. He loved horses and barrel racing and had a gift for training great barrel horses. Ronnie was an amazing photographer who never left home without his camera and never missed an opportunity to capture a great shot. He enjoyed being outdoors in nature, whether it was watching the deer, turkeys, etc., feeding the hummingbirds, maintaining his koi ponds, or even gardening. Those who knew him knew he had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. Ronnie owned and operated Hester Stone Masonry for 40+ years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Hester; two daughters, Kelli Hester (Matt Darnell) and Shelby Hester (Adam Means); stepson, Michael Key; and two brothers, Dennis Hester (Pam) and Kenny Hester (Geat Loflin). A Celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BrightFocus Foundation or Hospice Foundation of America.
