Jerry Whitt

Mr. Jerry Lee Whitt, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020.

Jerry was born April 28, 1935 in Forsyth County to Leo and Mattie Whitt.  Well known as a man that could fix anything, Jerry served as a maintenance supervisor for several churches in town and also worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco.  He loved God and his family and was a faithful member of Linville Forest Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Tony Whitt, and brother, Ronnie Whitt.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Drama Whitt; daughter, Amanda Burnette; grandchildren, Wesley Burnette (Heather) and Sherri Whitt; great-grandchildren, Elijah Burnette, Isaac Burnette, and Olivia Burnette; brother, Harold Whitt (Sylvia); sister in law, Jean Whitt; and 4 nieces.

A private graveside service will be held.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff at Wake Forest Baptist Health for the care they showed to Jerry and his family during his stay.
