Jerry Lane Whisenhunt, Sr.

Mr. Jerry Lane Whisenhunt, age 82 of Lewisville, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023.  He was born April 17, 1941 in Winston-Salem Forsyth County to the late Ransom Newman Whisenhunt and Grace Allgood Whisenhunt.  Mr. Whisenhunt was a veteran of the US Air Force, a police officer for about eleven years ,with the Winston-Salem police department , a private detective, with Horn Security and ran polygraph test, for approximately six years and retired from AT&T Lucent Technology, as a security guard, in 1996 in Oklahoma City.   Jerry enjoyed wood working, scroll sawing and fishing at the beach. He is survived by his wife , of 63 years, Irene S. Whisenhunt; two daughters, Angela Faye Smith (Rick) and Anita Kaye Aldana (Fabian); one son, Jerry Lane Whisenhunt, Jr.; seven grandchildren. Christopher K. Smith ( Nikki ) , Justin N. Whisenhunt ( Kayla ) Natalie ( the late Eric Via ) , Dennis F. Wilkinson ll, Zachery I. Smith ( Mikayla ), Kayla D. Wilkinson ( Daniel ) and Brent D. Whisenhunt. Nine great grandchildren.
