Winston-Salem- Mr. Jerry Wayne Warren, 68, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 20, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late William Warren and Irene Wade Warren. Mr. Warren was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Hanes High School and served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. After returning from Vietnam he resided in Old Salem. He was employed as Service Manager for Central Carolina Trucks in Kernersville and was formerly employed with Hennis Trucking Company and Spector Trucking Company. He loved spending time with his family and friends, as well as being an avid animal lover. Mr. Warren is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sue ""Suzie"" Warren; a son, Chris Warren and wife Sheila; a granddaughter, Megan Warren; cousins, Peggy Boggs and Tina Guthrie; treasured nieces and nephews, Tracey Marion and husband Denny and their children, Lauren, Nikki, and Chad and Debbie Gilley and her daughter Haiden; a sister-in-law, Bunny Charlesworth and husband Don. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Canaan United Methodist Church with Pastor Chuck Ireson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Forsyth County Humane Society, 61 Miller St., Winston-Salem, NC 27104 or Canaan United Methodist Church, 1760 Shady Grove Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
