Kernersville- Mr. Jerry Lee Ridgway, 70, passed away Saturday February 12, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1951, in Peoria, Il., the son of Rome and Edith Kannenberg Ridgway. He was retired from D.H. Griffin Construction and enjoyed photography, painting rocks, model cars, reading maps and loved to watch sports. He was hardworking and loyal. He loved the Lord and his family. He loved people and talking to everyone he met. He was an outgoing and friendly man who never knew a stranger. He was never afraid to look at a person and say God bless you. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Beth Ridgway; five children, Lisa Cochran (Chuck) of Cary, Louis Ridgway of Cary, Laura Ridgway of Wilmington, Joshua Ridgway (Brittany) of Kernersville and Jordan Ridgway of Kernersville; two great grandchildren, Jayden and Sabrina Cochran; a sister, Laura Chambers (Michael) of Asheville and nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL. 60601.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
