Jerry Lee Prater, Sr.

Mr. Jerry Lee Prater, Sr, 65, of Mocksville passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born May 10, 1947 in Baltimore, MD to Chester Lee and Ruby Gaylor Prater. Mr. Prater was the owner of Jerry Prater Trucking Inc. He is survived by his wife, Sue Prater; a daughter, Nancy Prater Miller and husband Rodney of Advance; two sons, Jerry Lee Prater, Jr. and wife Lora of Advance and Joe Prater of Mocksville and four grandchildren, Haley and Kelsy Miller and Preston and Lynzie Prater. A service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Will Pryor officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
