PFAFFTOWN Mr. Jerry Edison Parker, 75, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born on June 27, 1937 in Forsyth Co. to the late Dewey Edison Parker and Hazel Whisnant Parker. Jerry was the owner of Sentinel Alarm and Electric Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville where he dearly loved his Sunday School Class. Jerry was an avid golfer, tennis player and loved NASCAR racing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Parker. Jerry is survived by his wife, Clara L. Parker; three daughters, Wendy Trueblood, Tracy Wislick (Bob) and Cathy Comer (Bob); two step-daughters, Kathy Elledge and Michelle Terry (Ivery); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Parker (Jacksie). Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hopsice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
