Jerry Bryan Holbrook, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE- Mr. Jerry Bryan Holbrook, Sr., 81, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016. Jerry was born on September 29, 1934 in Wilkes County to Romney and Onie Richardson Holbrook. Jerry opened Colonial Photography Studio early in his career and also had a studio in Paul Rose Department Store. He later worked as a supervisor at Pilot Freight, retiring after 20 years of service. Jerry also loved the game of golf !

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Gray Holbrook; two brothers, Roger and Fred Holbrook; and two sisters, Vera Starnes and Pauline Billings.

Surviving are his daughter, Anita Durham (husband, Bobby) of Kernersville ; two sons, Jerry B. Holbrook, Jr. (wife, Janice) of Kernersville and Larry Holbrook of Trap Hill; a step-son, Marcus Gray; a step-daughter, Vanessa Idol (Billy); 8 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Clarice Burke; four brothers, Ronald, Bryce, Mike and Steven Holbrook; and one sister, Frieda Patterson.

A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
