Jerry Allen Hauser

Dr. Jerry Allen Hauser, 60, of Advance, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Jerry grew up in King, NC. He was a 1974 graduate of South Stokes High School. He then became a proud Demon Deacon and graduated from Wake Forest University in 1978. He received his DDS degrees from UNC-CH School of Dentistry in 1982. He settled in Davie County with his family and practiced dentistry for 26 years in Advance. Jerry loved to sing with the Clif Notes and he was active in his community and his church at Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. His kindness to others was endless and he touched so many lives, leaving us too soon but forever better for having known him. Jerry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Matthew Poindexter; and his paternal grandparents, John Neal Hauser and Dora Hauser Keyes. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Tammy H. Hauser; two sons, Jacob A. Hauser and wife Lindsey of Clemmons and Bryce M. Hauser of Advance; one daughter, Caitlin A. Hauser of Advance; one grandson, David J. Hauser; his parents, Don and Jean Hauser of King; one sister, Dr. Lisa H. Mayes and husband Dr. Greg Mayes; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass for Jerry will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, with Father Michael Buttner officiating. Entombment will be at a later date in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Multiple System Atrophy Coalition or the Storehouse for Jesus.
