Jerry Thomas Gray

Mr. Jerry Thomas Gray, 73, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Jerry was born in Guilford County to the late Carl H. Gray and Margaret Bryan Gray Howell. Jerry was a devoted husband to his wife of 37 years, Barbara Rollins Gray. A graduate of Elon University, he obtained his bachelor’s degree and went on to become a Real Estate Broker for almost 45 years. He was an avid fan of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and favored the Atlanta Braves. In his free time, he enjoyed watching his favorite teams and traveling with his wife. Jerry was also a devoted member of Ardmore Baptist Church since 1988. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his nephew, Dean Gray. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brothers, Larry Gray (Bernice) and Terry Gray; sister, Barbara Stewart (Coy); sister-in-law, Claudia Daly (David); three nieces, Laura Daly Garland, Leigh-Ann Chambers and Susan Hancock; and one nephew, John Daly. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, 2:00pm at Ardmore Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, with Dr. Gina Brock and Rev. John Hackworth, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. A private family inurnment will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 in Forest City, NC.
