Jerry Davis

Mr. Jerry Rondell Davis, 81, of Advance, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Forsyth County on August 3, 1940 to William Henry Davis and Vera Angell Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church and attended Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Jerry retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and was a member of the Farmington Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed flying as a pilot from Twin Lakes Airport, playing golf and socializing with his friends. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Margaret Riddle Davis; a son, Neil Davis; a nephew, Lesley M. Parks and his wife, Tammy; a grandson, Robby Parks and two sisters, Kay St. Onge and husband Bill and Judy Wall and husband, James. A Private Graveside Service was held at Macedonia Moravian Church Graveyard with Pastor Jerry Webb officiating. A Celebration of Jerry’s Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Moravian Church or to Hillsdale United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Willowbrook Rehabilitation & Care Center and Trellis Supportive Care Center for their care and compassion for Mr. Davis during his illness.
