KERNERSVILLE – Mr. Jerry Clayton Booth, 82, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home. Jerry was born on May 31, 1940 in Stokes County to the late William and Eva Lawson Booth. He ultimately enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially their annual family beach trips to Ocean Isle, a tradition they shared for 40 years.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Shane Sowers; and four sisters, June Grogan, Tava Shough, Patsy Kropira, and Judy Ellis.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Shirley Booth; two daughters, Anita Sowers, and Lori Kidd (Jeff); three grandsons, Jason Sowers (Erika), Mitchell Sowers (Pam) and Jeremy Kidd; one great granddaughter, Abigail Grace Sowers, better known as “Sweetie Pie”; two sisters, Eve Newman, and Ruby Stoltz; one brother, Don Booth; and many nieces and nephews.
