Jerril Mitchell Bumgarner

Kernersville - Mr. Jerril Mitchell Bumgarner, 78, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born October 24, 1932 in Catawba County to the late William Dorse and Cleta Rogers Bumgarner. Jerril spent most of his career as a Trucking Executive, spending over 54 years with Pilot Freight, Leeway and Burgess Transport Companies. His dog, Lacy, held a special place in his heart. Surviving are his wife, Loretta Bumgarner, of the home; a daughter, Deneen DeCost,of Rochester, NH; son, Steven Bumgarner and daughter Vanessa; two brothers, George ""Sonny"" and Max David Bumgarner ; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
