Jerri Caskey Phillips

Ms. Jerri Caskey Phillips, 68, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ms. Phillips was born in Iredell County on September 24, 1946 to Nathan Taylor and Hazel Millsaps Caskey. She was a faithful member of Ardmore Baptist Church. Ms. Phillips will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed gardening, was artistic and creative. Ms. Phillips was outgoing and never met a stranger. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Carolina Panthers. She was a warm and resilient person who showed courage and faith throughout many challenges in her life. Ms. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Nell Caskey. She is survived by a sister, Myra Moore; a brother-in-law, Bill Moore; two daughters, Lori Mauro and husband Chris, and Lisa Snyder and husband Scott; four grandchildren, Nick, Emily, and Brooke Mauro, and Samantha Snyder; and a niece, Mandy Moore. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, January 19, 2015 at Ardmore Baptist Church with Dr. Don Gordon, the Rev. Ty Talton, and Dr. Paul Mullen officiating.
