Jerrell Ray Jones

Stokesdale – Mr. Jerrell Ray Jones, 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his residence. He was born on July 19, 1959, in Forsyth County to Nolan and Geraldine Jones. Jerrell was the owner and operator of J&J Electric Company. He was a lifelong member of Stokesdale Christian Church. Jerrell was a selfless man who would volunteer and silently help others, often doing work for people for free. To say he was handy would be an understatement. He could fix anything and everything. Jerrell enjoyed fishing and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend in Christ. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Jerrell was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ryan Austin.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Pamela Moses Jones; two daughters, Ashleigh Austin (Jacob Darr) and Stephanie Jones (Tony Smith); four grandchildren, Jordan Austin, Taylor Austin, Carson Darr, and Kinley Smith; one brother, Bill Jones (Pam); one sister, Nolene Fowler (Wayne-deceased); and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He is also survived by his Baby Dog, Pennie Rae.

A funeral service for Jerrell will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Stokesdale Christian Church with Pastor Randy Winn officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions in memory of Jerrell Jones be made to Brain Support Network, PO Box 7264, Menlo Park, CA 94026. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
