Jeffrey "Jeff" Ashby

On Saturday January 2, God needed another angel to brighten up heaven, so he took Jeffrey Ashby, age 54. Jeff was born in Florida to the late Donald Ashby and Norma Waller Ashby. He was a member of River Oaks Community Church, a loyal member of the Deacon Club and Cubbie. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ashby. He is survived by his adoring wife, Regina, two children, Amber Casper and husband Chris of Lewisville and Kyle Ashby of Siloam, granddaughter, Audrey Casper, mother, Norma Ashby, two brothers, Joe Ashby and wife Amy, Kevin Ashby and wife Joye. Everyone who knew Jeff loved him. He always had big smile and a hug for anyone who would take it. Although he wanted to appear tough, his heart was the size of Mount Everest. He believed in giving back, supporting charities and others who were trying to make a difference. He always had a listening ear and gave advice like a dad whether you wanted it or not. Jeff was non-judgmental and accepted people as they were which made him even more lovable. For many, he was the life of the party whether at a Deacon tailgate, a Cubs watch party, on the golf course, at a cards table or at a favorite gather spot. He will be missed by many! A memorial service will be held at River Oaks Community Church in Clemmons on Saturday June 12. The family visitation will be at 10am and the service will start at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to one of the following: The Enrichment Center 1006 Marshall St Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or the ALS Association. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
