Jeffrey Scott Welborn

Mr. Jeffrey Scott Welborn, 48, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Duke Hospital in Durham. Jeff was born February 11, 1961 in Forsyth County to Jimmy David and Peggy Ann Collins Welborn. He had spent most of his life at the Murdoch Center in Butner, NC. Jeff always had a great love of gospel music and loved ball, especially football. He attended First Baptist Church of Stanleyville as a child and has always remained a part of the church family. Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Welborn, Mrs. Earsley Cain and Mr. Dallas A. Collins. He is survived by his loving parents, Jimmy and Peggy Welborn of King and several aunts, uncles and extended family. Funeral services for Jeff will be conducted 3:00 Sunday, January 10, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. Zane Fishel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening Saturday, January 9, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
