Jeffrey Scott Newsome

Jeffrey Scott Newsome, 54, of Winston-Salem, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Donnie’s Compassionate Family Care Home. He was born to Nancy Bowman Newsome and the late Billy Gray Newsome on March 17, 1969, in Forsyth County. Jeffrey was a joyful, kind, and funny person. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines and lawn mowers. Jeffrey was known to bring light into every room and a smile to every face he met. The memories he left behind will forever be cherished by the ones who loved him. In addition to his father, Jeffrey is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Newsome; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving mother, Nancy; sister-in-law, Angie Newsome; nephews, Brent Newsome (Amy), and Michael Newsome (Angie); niece, Rachel Newsome; and great-niece, Calliope Newsome. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Bethel United Methodist Church. Officiating the service will be Pastor Doug Klein. The funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00pm.
