Jeff West

Jeff West passed away early Sunday morning, December 25, 2011 at the age of 51, at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patti, their daughters Kristin and Emily, his daughters Kisha Absher and Elizabeth Turney and their families, his mother Bernice Cook and her husband Henry, his father Bill West and Patty Shelton, and brothers Barry West, Terry West and family. Jeff was born on March 8, 1960 in Bristol Tennessee. He grew up in Winston Salem and graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School. He worked both in the construction and optical fields. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked to golf, camp and spend time outdoors. His four grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed their time with Papa Jeff and were the light of his life. Albeit too short, his life was strongly lived and he will be missed by all that knew him. There will be a viewing at Northwest Baptist Church on Thursday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will recieve friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Northwest Baptist Church.
