Jeannine Ann Frye Wright, born September 24 1953, was welcomed into the presence of the Lord in the afternoon of August 13, 2023.
Jeannine was born in Port Huron, Michigan, and grew up in Adrian, Michigan. She attended Adrian High School and Baptist Bible College and received a certificate in education. She had a love of teaching and tutoring. Her first teaching job was in Rockingham, NC where she met her husband, James Wright. They married and had four children together.
Jeannine continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science from Piedmont Baptist College and a Bachelor of Arts in education from Lee's McRae.
Jeannine had a heart for service and used her talents to help others. She was known for working with her hands. She was often crafting, scrapbooking, sewing, and cross-stitching. She also enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. She led and served in ladies ministry. She had a lovely singing voice and enjoyed singing in choir at church.
Jeannine exuded joy and loved Jesus. She lived her life in dedication to her Lord and Savior. Her legacy is her faith in Christ and love for her children and grandchildren; which she loved with all of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James and her sister, Linda.
She is Survived by her children Jonathan (Hannah), Jacob, Rebekah (Eric), and Joshua (Sylvia). Grandchildren: Hayden, Emerson, Samuel, Benjamin, Stefanie, Lincoln and Ethan. Sisters: Becky, Joann (Doug), Faythe, and Anita (Billy) as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life is planned for September 9th at 2:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church in Winston Salem. She will be interred in Sandcreek, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to any of the following charities in her honor: National Kidney Foundation, Stroke Recovery Foundation, SECU home, or Salem Baptist Christian School.
