Jeannette Pye Plotz

Mrs. Jeannette Pye Plotz, 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Plotz was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 18, 1920 to Ernie and Bessie Hayek Pye. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Mrs. Plotz will be remembered for her loving spirit and dedication to her family and her home. Her true delight in life was spending time in the warmth and presence of her family. Mrs. Plotz was preceded in death by her parents; a son Gerald Plotz; and a sister, Marguerite Pye. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years Stanley Walter Plotz; son,and loving caregiver for the past 10 years, Fred Plotz; a son, Steve Plotz and wife Judy of Baltimore, MD; a brother, Bob Pye of Grand Marais, MN; and a special feline companion, Joe. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Ronald McLaughlin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NC Division Services for the Blind, 2601 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699.
