Jeannette Norman Edwards, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. She was the loving wife of the late Curtis Lee Edwards to whom she was married 55 years. Jeannette was born on July 2, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Leo Cecil and Ora Ruby Robertson Norman. She graduated from Northwest High School. Earlier in her life, Jeannette worked for Wachovia bank. After her daughter was born, she began her career as a preschool teacher, specifically working with two year olds. She worked in the daycare of Northwest Baptist Church, and devoted over thirty years of her life teaching at Messiah Moravian Preschool. Jeannette was a lifetime and very active member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Circle Six church group. She also enjoyed sewing and making various items for her family throughout the years. Her entire existence was caring for her family, and she devoted her time to her husband, children and grandchildren. Jeannette and her husband Curtis, who were married when she was 18, were inseparable and did most everything in their life together. Her grandchildren were an extremely important part of her life, and she attended every moment of recognition for them including sporting events, dance recitals and band performances. In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by: her sister, Sylvia McGlamery; and her brother, Jerry Norman. Surviving family includes her children: Steven Edwards and wife Karen of Ft. Mill, SC, and Tracy Hale and husband Greg of Pfafftown; four grandchildren, Grant Edwards, Logan Hale, Luke Hale and Lauren Hale; and two brothers, Lindsey Norman of Pfafftown and Benny Norman and wife Nellie of Clemmons. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. A funeral service will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, with Dr. Mark J. Key officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, but donations may also be directed to: Mt.
