Jeanne North Hill

Mrs. Jeanne North Hill passed away peacefully Sunday morning February 19,2012. ""Jan"" was a 1977 graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School and graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1981. ""Jan ""retired early from her employment with the Aon Corporation in 2006. She enjoyed spending her time at the YWCA with her swim class and basketball team. She also had a passion for beautiful music and was a long time supporter of the Winston-Salem Symphony. She played the role of ""Miss Liberty"" at many of their events. She rarely missed a concert or event and also sponsored a music series, for others to enjoy. She was preceded in death by her parents William Gilchrist Hill and Jeanne Glover Hill, of Winston-Salem. She is survived by her brother William Gilchrist (Gil) Hill, Jr., his son Alex and wife Carleen (Winston-Salem), her Aunt Mary Taylor (Wilmington) and several cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24,2012, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Hayworth Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 25,2012, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem. Inurnment will immediately follow in the Dalton Memorial Garden adjacent to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NC Triad Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 1106 Burke Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or Komennctriad.com, or to the Winston-Salem Symphony at 201 N. Broad Street, Suite 200, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
