Mrs. Jeanette Burchette Stubban, 83, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. She was born in Forsyth County on March 21, 1940, to the late Clate Eugene and Daphne Hauser Burchette. Mrs. Stubban was a member of Love’s United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School. Mrs. Stubban loved gospel music and sang in choirs, many times as a soloist, enjoyed traveling and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Preceding her in death was her husband, Leighton Stubban, brother, Ronald Burchette and a stepson, Craig Stubban. Surviving is a daughter, Scarlett Whitener Stimpson (Paul); stepdaughter, Vanessa Perez (Greg); stepson, Milo Stubban (Debbie); three grandchildren, Derek Conway (Kim), Michael Stubban, and Jeanette Roundcount (Jarid); four great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Waddell (Gray); sister-in-law, Tommie Burchette and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be at held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 22, 2023, in the mausoleum chapel at Gardens of Memory Walkertown with Rev. Bruce Updyke officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Services Inc. 2895 Shorefair Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27105 or a charity of your choice.
