Jean Newsome Warren

KERNERSVILLE - Jean Newsome Warren, 71, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Bradford Village West. She was born September 20, 1940 in Union County to the late Henry Wilson and Margaret Sinclair Newsome. Jean worked as an office assistant for Dr. Southard, DDS, for 38 years and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, of 41 years, Kenneth Gene Warren. Surviving are her son, Jeff Warren (Wendy) of Kernersville; two brothers, Larry Newsome (Linda) of Southern Pines and Mike Newsome (Bernice) of Greensboro; many nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Donnie Warren (Gail) of Kernersville; and a sister-in-law, Edith Taylor of Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Steve Gallop officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Jeff Warren.
