Jean Stephens

Ina Jean Tucker Stephens, 92, passed away at her home May 13th, 2022. She was born in Forsyth County on August 20th, 1929, to Ira and Ota Smith Tucker.

Ina Jean worshiped and served her Lord at Union Cross Moravian Church where she married Paul Allen Stephens. Her talent as a seamstress and passion for gardening provided for her family, friends, and community. Ina Jean was truly loved by everyone she met. She showed kindness and God’s love to all around her and her devotion as a caregiver sustained her loved ones through many challenges.

Ina Jean is survived by her daughter Carol Grandy, husband Stan; grand- daughters, Laura Stephens, her son Tucker, Catherine Martin, husband Brady and their son Beau; sister Oneita Tucker; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

While Ina Jean will be dearly missed, we are grateful knowing that she is celebrating with her parents; husband; son Daniel Stephens; and brother Robert Tucker in Heaven.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Union Cross Moravian Church with Rev. Jeff Coppage officiating. Burial will follow at the church graveyard. The family will be available after the service to receive friends. Ina Jean loved flowers but loved helping others more.
