Jean Tuznik MacArthur, 78, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 6, 1931 in Hillside, NJ to Mieczyslaw and Mary Fleiger Tuznik. Ms. MacArthur was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church for the past 15 years. She was a retired school teacher from Bloomfield, NJ with 35 years of service. She was a graduate of Bloomfield Senior High School in 1949 and then graduated from New Jersey State Teachers College in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. After retirement she moved to Winston-Salem in 1996 to be closer to her family. She was a volunteer at Forsyth Medical Center for many years, and was involved with the Crisis Control Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Julia Veeson and Rosalie Tuznik. Surviving is her only son, Daniel Nesbitt MacArthur and wife Shelly of Clemmons; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter and Chandler MacArthur. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 27 at Parkway Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dan Wilkers officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
