Jean Tise Livengood

Mrs. Jean Tise Livengood, 85, of Clemmons, passed away October 24 at her home. Jean was born in Clemmons on December 1, 1938 to John and Ada Tise. She graduated in 1957 from the first graduating class of Southwest High School and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco International where she was an administrative assistant to many executives during her tenure.

Jean was an active member of Center Grove Church and loved her Sunday School classmates dearly. She was an avid ACC basketball and Nascar fan. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Gene Livengood, her parents and her sister Carol (Frank) Woodruff.

Surviving are her children, Scott Livengood (Margaret) of Burlington and Cynthia Livengood (Carolyn Smith) of Greensboro; her brother Donald Tise of Sanford, Florida; three grandchildren, Virginia, Joseph and Caroline Livengood, and several nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Monday, October 28, 2024 at Center Grove Church with Dr. Steve Corts officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care of Winston Salem. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care provided by Juana Scherbeh, Bailey Blevins and the extended Hospice staff.
