Jean Priddy Frye

Mrs. Jean Priddy Frye, 95, passed away at Lexington Medical Center on Friday, June 10, 2016. She was born on April 25, 1921 to William Robert Priddy and Nettie Nelson Priddy in Stokes County. Jean retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 33 years of service. She attended Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church for as long as her health permitted. She loved to garden and grow flowers. She will be remembered for her caring nature. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Frye; brother, Eulas D. Priddy; and sister, Grace P. Wall. Survivors include her son, William Ralph Frye (Qureatha); grandson, Steven Wayne Frye (Tonya); nieces, Sue P. Coats and Judy P. Slater; great grandchildren, Wesley Smith and Ashlee Frye; 5 great, great grandchildren; also, Anita and Pete Alexander, Becky and Ralph Essick, Dale Ireland and David Ireland. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Gardens of Memory with Rev. Jimmy Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Humane Society.
