Jean Gay Flynn

WINSTON-SALEM-Ms. Jean Gay Flynn, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ms. Flynn was born on April 20, 1922 in Nottingham, England to William Donald Gay and Gertrude Lillian Gilbert Gay. She served in the Royal Air Force of England during World War II. Jean retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 37 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phyllis Zodwaski. Ms. Flynn is survived by three sons, Bill Flynn and wife, Dawn of Winston-Salem, John Flynn of Winston-Salem and Rick Flynn and wife, Lea of Lewisville; two grandchildren, Lacy Flynn and Justin Flynn; three great-grandchildren; and numerous extended relatives in Nottingham, England. A private service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center and to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their kindness and care of Jean.
