Jean Johnson Branon

Mrs. Jean Johnson Branon of 117 Chillingham Road, Garner, North Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 10, 2015. Mrs. Branon was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born November 27, 1932 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late William Leonard Johnson and Ella Maude Spaugh Johnson. She was a long time member of Easton Baptist Church, Urban Street Baptist Church and attended many churches in the Winston-Salem area. She was employed at Belks, Thalheimer's and Mother and Daughter stores. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claud William Branon and twelve brothers and sisters. Surviving to cherish her memory is her only daughter, Wanda Branon Hayes and husband Captain Ronnie L. Hayes of Garner, N.C., granddaughters, Angela Hayes Hodges and Arthur Griffin Hodges of Archers Lodge, N.C., Ashley Renee' Hayes of Raleigh, N.C. and one great-grandson Joshua Hayes Hodges of Archers Lodge, N.C. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joe McWethy officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.Hayworth-Miller.com.
