Jason Wright

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jason Scott Wright, 45, of Rural Hall. He went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was the son of Dianna L. Wright of Rural Hall and the late James M. Wright. Jason was a certified physical fitness trainer with FPA and Nautilus and was the owner of Wright Workout in Clemmons. He loved to help those with physical disabilities improve their lives, as well as training others to help improve their overall health and wellbeing. He gave himself without wanting to be noticed or even thanked for his efforts. He attended High Point University, majoring in Criminal Justice. Jason loved sports. He won many trophies playing baseball, basketball, and weightlifting. He loved being an uncle to Vann, Layla, Renna, and Jordyn. Jason thought of them as his own children and always went out of his way to show them how much he loved them. He is preceded in death by his father, James M. Wright; his maternal grandparents, Charles R. Jones and Helen V. Jones; and paternal grandmother, Kathryn Mazzie. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Kristie Nieto, whom he loved dearly; brother, James Wright II, who he shared his love of sports; nephew, Vann; nieces, Layla, Renna, and Jordyn; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason would say that this is not goodbye but so long for now, as I am in heaven with Dad where one day, we will all be reunited. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. John Holmes officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
