Jason Alan Schlagel

East Bend Jason Alan Schlagel, ""Jay"", passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Durham, NC on November 21, 1956, grew up in Yadkin County and graduated from Forbush High School in 1975. Jay enjoyed NASCAR races and watching the S.F. 49ers play football. He loved working outside and took pride in everything he did. He was preceded in death by his father, Art Schlagel. He is survived by his mother, Kay Schlagel of East Bend, a brother, Dan Schlagel of Black Mountain, and his sisters Beth (Larry) Holleman of Cary and Allyson Penny (Brian) Edwards of East Bend. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Hart Holleman of Chapel Hill, Zachary and Patricia Schlagel of South Carolina and Sara and Jarratt Edwards of East Bend, and beloved dog Walter. A visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Lewisville United Methodist Church. Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel is serving the Schlagel family.
