Janice Voncannon

Kernersville-Mrs. Janice Marie Hunter VonCannon, 73, passed away February 21, 2018 at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born December 16, 1944 to the late Russell Leeroy Hunter and Esther Marie Long Hunter. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. VonCannon loved the Christmas holidays and enjoyed collecting antiques. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as she always put others before herself. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Rusty Hunter, Jr. and Brian Keith Hunter and her sister, Cheryl Ann Hunter. Mrs. VonCannon is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thurman Gerald VonCannon; her daughters, Ginger Fletcher (Bobby) and Jeri Lynn VonCannon (John); her sons, Samuel Chadwick VonCannon (Annette) and Christopher Allen VonCannon (Tammy); her brother, David Allen Hunter and sister-in-law, Lala Hunter. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
