Janice Richardson

Mrs. Janice Arlene Smyth Richardson, 79, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Gardner Smyth and Mary Alma Gray Smyth on June 26, 1941. Janice graduated Lafaytte High School in Lexington, KY in 1959 and Fugazzi Business College in 1961. She attended Faith Church in Midway, NC. She loved doing art, painting, and crafts. She also enjoyed working in the garden and planting flowers.  Janice was a bowler and bowled in a league in her younger years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Gene Smyth and Gary Smyth, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Ronald L. Richardson; son, Greg Richardson; daughter, Gina Regenthal and husband Kenny; her one and only awesome grandson, Ian Regenthal. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, on what would have been her 80th birthday. Flowers are welcomed or donations can be made in her honor to Kate B.
