Janice Beam

Mrs. Janice Beam passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland County on May 13, 1938. Janice was a member of Covenant Baptist Fellowship Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She retired from Piedmont Airlines (USAirways) after 34 years of service. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Nettie Moore Allen. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, William (Bill) L. Beam; her son R. Jeffrey Kirk and his wife Jill; her daughters, Sandra B. Ashburn and her husband Terry, Sherry B. Richardson and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Brandi Rogers, Lauren A. Widener and her husband Greg, Dustin Ashburn, Christian Richardson and Chase Richardson; her sisters, Martha Welborn and her husband Reich, Sue Frye and her husband Ron and Karen Griffith and her husband Jack. Also surviving are 5 loving nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 PM Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Sam Sorrells and Dr. Ray Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
