Mrs. Janet Ann Spampinato Wild, 76, passed away March 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1946 in Washington D. C. to the late Charlie Spampinato and Opal Fern Irvin Spampinato. Janet was raised in Northern Virginia and worked for a number of years at the Pentagon. She eventually moved into Stokes County and became a teacher’s assistant retiring from Stokes County School System. She was a faithful member of Good Shepard Catholic Church of King. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Mike. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald, “Ronnie” Wild; Children, Stephen Wild (Sarah), Jennifer Mayberry (Mike); Grandchildren, Alyssa Mayberry, and Byron Wild; sister, Linda Tobin (Eddie); Brother, Chuck Spampinato, and several nieces and nephews. In addition, a close relationship to two special nieces, Tammy and Heather, and one aunt, Rosie Jones. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cancer.org.
