Janet Byrd Wesley

Mrs. Janet Carolyn Byrd Wesley, 68, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on January 31, 1947 in Coats, NC to Bernice and Helen Bolin Byrd. Mrs. Wesley was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeremy Wesley; one grandson, Joshua Cockerham; one brother-in-law, Benny Sharpe. She is survived by husband, Grayling ""Wes"" Wesley of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Myers and husband Jeff, Paula Mabe all of Sandy Ridge; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Dewayne Byrd and wife Marsha, Kem Byrd and wife Kelly; two sisters, Brenda Sharpe and Diane Thornton and husband Bill; one brother-in-law, Donald West; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Nathan, Hymirian Benton; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Greg Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank the staff at Kate B. Reynolds for the quality care given to Janet during her stay.
