Janet Sink Johnson

Mrs. Janet Sink Johnson, 90, passed away Tuesday morning July 8, 2014 at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living in Clemmons.

She was born in Davidson County, on August 20, 1923 to the late James Sink and Neely Hill Sink. Janet, a beloved mother and grandmother, was a lifelong member of Friedberg Moravian Church, where she was a Diener for many years as well as a children's Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by husband Donald Clifton Johnson, and daughter Debra Martin, one sister Kathleen Tesh and one brother James Hill Sink.

Janet is survived by two daughters Peggy Anderson and husband Donald of Clemmons, and Lisa Blake and husband Ron of Clemmons; six grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 11, at Friedberg Moravian Church with the Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. and Rev. Dan K. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church parlor .
