Janet Goodman

Mrs. Janet Shaffer Goodman, 78, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  She was born in Vanlue, Ohio on May 10, 1942 to the late Earl and Helen Shuck Shaffer.  Mrs. Goodman was a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed crocheting and had a love for animals.  Most of all, she loved her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jennifer Rippy and a sister, Louise Pratt.  Surviving is her husband of 37 years, Jerry Goodman; two sons, Todd Hunter and Travis Hunter and wife, Liz; two grandchildren, Cason and Collins Hunter; step-grandson, Jay Rippy; also surviving is her brother, Dale Shaffer.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2021 at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Perdue officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 5041 Styers Ferry Rd.
