Janet Lee Franke

Janet Lee Franke, 88, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She was born October 30, 1936, in Massena, New York to the late Acil and Ina Davis Johnson. Mrs. Franke worked as a Registered Nurse for many years with a specialty in OB/GYN. She enjoyed watching hockey, NASCAR, and playing bridge and bingo. She enjoyed attending live music concerts and was a very talented musician herself. She could play several musical instruments including piano, clarinet and saxophone. She loved to knit, sew, and quilt. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Nelson Franke and a daughter, Jane Elizabeth Greene. Surviving is a son, John Franke (Cynthia); four grandchildren, Jaela Marshall (Matteo), Julian Franke (Amy), Jana Datsko (Patrick), and Jaime Greene; also surviving are nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. A reception will be held afterwards at the home of John and Cynthia Franke, 1300 Big Tree Court in Lewisville.
