Janet Marie Lewis Heath 'Memaw'

Kernersville-Janet Marie Lewis Heath ""Memaw,"" 74, a loving mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 26, 1936 in Forsyth Co. to the late Clyde and Ella Snow Lewis. Janet was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church and the Vanhoy /Williams Sunday school class since 1988. She retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 20 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Heath and a brother, Howell Lewis. Surviving are her son, David Heath of Belews Creek; two daughters, Donna H. Masten and husband Jeff, and Denise H. Shepherd and husband, Rob all of Kernersville; one sister, Hilda L. Kiger of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, and Adam Heath, Morgan and McKenzie Welch, Taylor Masten, Holly and Alex Shepherd; a special daughter-in-law, Marianne Heath; and her loving Best Friend, Judy Tilley. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Friday, July 8, 2011 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Autrey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center and at other times at Janet's home. A Committal Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, PO Box 57, Walkertown, NC 27051 or Kate B.
