Jane Elizabeth Anderson Snow

Jane Elizabeth Anderson Snow passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 28, 2015. She was born on June 5, 1962, to Douglas Leslie and Margo (Betsy) Anderson. Jane lived as a child in Orinda, California and Barrington, Illinois. She graduated from Barrington High School in 1980, and Hillsdale College (MI) in 1984, where she pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She married her college sweetheart, Peter Snow, a year after graduation. Jane was above all a devoted mother and wife. Those that knew Jane admired her high energy and warm, loving smile. She was a friend to all and always had a kind word to say about everyone she knew. Jane served as volunteer coordinator at Our Lady of Mercy School and also volunteered with the Junior League of Winston-Salem. Cheering on her children at sporting events and in all of life's events brought Jane great happiness. She also loved tending her garden and reading-- a weekend trip to the beach was incomplete without a bag full of books. Jane was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Peter, of Winston-Salem; children Sam, Alex, and Emma Snow; sister Julie (Tracy) Peters, of Upper Arlington, OH; brother Jason Anderson, of Twenty-nine Palms, CA; sister Kathryn (David) Tunstall, of New York, NY; sisters-in-law Deborah (Steven) Kutner of Clifton, VA and Jennifer Snowhite (Angus MacLachlan) of Winston-Salem; brother-in-law Bryan Snowhite of Clifton, VA; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncle. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 14, 6-8 PM at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel, 6685 Shallowford Rd, Lewisville, NC. A funeral mass will be held at 1:15 PM Monday, June 15, at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 333 Springdale Ave, Winston-Salem, with Father Brian J. Cook officiating.
