Jane Elizabeth Roberts Sennett

Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Roberts Sennett, 76, of King, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born September 8, 1936 in Forsyth County to James Hobert and Clois Weatherman Roberts. Mrs. Sennett was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved sewing, embroidery, and cooking for her family. She worked with the Girl Scouts as a volunteer at Advent Moravian Church and then was a Girl Scout leader of the Daiseys, Brownies, and the Girl Scouts at Mt. Olive. She enjoyed working with the Girl Scout cookies, and was an avid traveler. She was foremost a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy and Johnny Roberts; a daughter, Debbie; and a great grandchild, Devin. Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, Don R. Sennett, Sr. of the home; one son, Donald Sennett, Jr. and wife Donna of Pinnacle; five grandchildren, Donna E. Glass Zeliznak and husband Mark, Cory Sennett, Lyndsey Sennett, Morgan Sennett, and Joseph Hall; two great grandchildren, Haley Tingen and Jordan Tingen; three brothers, Jack H. Roberts and wife Jean of Burlington, Norris Roberts and wife Rachael of Knoxville, TN, and Bruce Roberts and wife Marie of Davidson County. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Scott Vernon officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
