Mrs. Jane Bobbitt Saylor, 72, of Lewisville, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 31, 1940 in Forsyth County to Samuel Palmer and Anne Foster Bobbitt who preceded her in death. Mrs. Saylor worked for years in the Winston-Salem area hanging wall coverings for residential and businesses. Later in years, she baked cakes for birthdays and special occasions. She loved traveling in the U.S. and abroad. Mrs. Saylor enjoyed her grandchildren. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 22. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Saylor; three sons, Michael Saylor (Cheryl) of Lewisville, Jonathan Saylor (Gabriela) of Virginia Beach, and Britton Saylor (Shannon) of Pilot Mountain; a brother, Joseph Bobbitt (Sherri); six grandchildren, Josh, Garrett, Aleea, Alison, Eleanor and Klaire; two great grandchildren, Olivia and J.J.; and special cousins, Janice Mayberry, Rose McKnight, and Frankie Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 22 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank nurses, Jan and Erin and the staff and volunteers at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice for their love and care.
